2 AM is the hour of the poets, writers, over thinkers, silent seekers and the students who are hustling hard.  I feel y’all. I’m very much a night owl myself and I found it really hard  to find a conducive place to study late into the night. This is for you students who are desperately looking to catch up on your studies when the rest of the world sleeps.

1. Panopolis


This halal-certified cafe offers free wifi and a dedicated table with plugs for laptop users! Get a cuppa to keep you warm or sandwiches to satisfy that hunger pang while you study through the night.

2. The Study Area



Other than the basic wifi and plugs, you can get access to the gym, swimming pool, lockers, printing facilities and the coffee machine! All for a small fee of $15 for 24 hours usage. Take a dip to release some stress and get your caffeine fix to get you through the night, all within the same area.

3. Sengkang Community Centre



Initiated by Minister Teo Ser Luck,  the study rooms in Sengkang CC are open 24 hours during the exams period. There are free snacks and drinks for the students too! Talk about outstanding welfare.

4. Krispy Kreme, Changi Airport



Comfy chairs, free wifi, and delicious doughnuts for a quick sugar rush – what’s there not to like? This outlet is also relatively quiet- which makes it a conducive place to be extra productive.

5. SMU/NTU/NUS open space 



You can expect conducive places to study all around the campuses, with ample plugs and school wifi for you to tap into.  With plenty of other students hard at work, rest assured that you’ll be motivated to mug hard as well! Just be respectful and don’t hog the seats or try to enter the indoor facilities without a valid pass.

SMU: Try the outdoor benches, they are usually less likely to be occupied.

NTU: There are plenty of study benches lining the lecture theaters and the dining areas near McDonald’s and Starbucks.

NUS: Outdoor seats can be found around U-town and the corridors around the main campus.

6. Hanis, Wilkie Edge



Hanis at Wilkie Edge is spacious and usually quiet during non-peak hours. They have great lighting here too – perfect for the last minute muggers in search for a place with no disturbances.  Oh, and they have tasty pastries as well, for that late night pick-me-up.

7. 24-Hour Kopitiams



With affordable food and kopi (coffee) to keep you powered for the night, these 24-hour Kopitiams offer a no-frills place for you to catch up on your work.
